In early July, my friend and associate of CIR, Giovanni Tertulliani gave me a beautiful pair of Cichlasoma Nigrofasciatum Albino (Archocentrus Nigrofasciatum). Central American cichlids are very territorial and sometimes very aggressive (especially when they are spawning) but with a very firm character: they can gain respect. The habitat in the tank "Central America" with Thorychthys Maculipinnis was not easy, indeed, especially since the spawning, which occurred on an almost flat surface of wood, began to attack anything that moved in the bath! I had to remove the poor Thorichthys to avoid the worst, since, although larger, were seriously threatened by the breeding pair. After about a month of testimony, I have about 30 fry about 1 cm swimming peacefully in a tank, and are truly spectacular!. Watch the movie filmed in about 10 days after hatching of eggs that I downloaded on Youtube here.
